About the Founder

KSD was founded by Tony Kalm, MPH, who spent the last 15 years in service to the non-profit community. He has lived and worked throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and speaks Italian, German, and French.

Prior to founding KSD, Tony held senior-level development positions with a number of non-profit organizations and consulted internationally. He developed and implemented major fundraising programs and secured the support of international organizations, governments and major donors.

He has raised more than $225 million from public and private sources and won significant media and grass-roots support for health, development, humanitarian, and conservation issues.

Tony has lectured at Harvard Business School's Executive Education programs on public-private partnerships, and is a frequent participant in United Nations, OECD Development Assistance Committee and World Bank conferences and meetings.

In addition to his active involvement in many organizations, he mentors young professionals, runs marathons, and travels the world on motorcycle.
